Riding the bus to the start of this hike is itself an exciting experience. Steep switchbacks through a beautiful community takes you from Waikiki to just a short block from the park. We didn't try to do very much of the hike itself, but did see some other people returning covered in mud and scrapes— but also an older, experienced gentleman who seemed like he comfortably walked a short loop.

The park itself is beautiful and there are unusual evergreen trees.

Shot on the EFS 24mm f/2.8, even though most of my holiday pictures were on the SMC Pentax 28mm F/2.8. It's nice to have some pictures in focus.
