Everybody in a good mood including me because winter was thawing. It's rare that I have so much fun and collect so many pictures I like. I think this was on the way home from blood donation but I am not sure.
The woman in the food prep runs Grandma's Garden in Eau Claire. She has an incredible, warm smile, which I failed terribly to capture. For many, many years I have seen this sandwich place and sort of gone to subway next to it. Recently though I tried it and it's the best sandwich I think I have ever eaten, or close. Definitely the best Club House (a Monte Cristo prepared at the Airport Delta on special order was the best.) So I am an idiot for not eating here on the regular for the last 15 years, because Eau Claire is closing.
A later picture of a woman at a table is Taylor who has been targetted by Calgary Police Service for her activism. Specifically, they are stacking charges against her. Probably a terrible analogy, but I suppose it would be like if the police had a dedicated traffic officer follow you around constantly and write you a traffic ticket for every minor infraction. On the one hand you would feel a little bit special but on the other hand it might feel a little unfair to be singled out like that. I am sure they feel they have a job to do and she is getting in the way somehow (how though?) and are then just exercising their considerable power in a way that they have made triple sure with their lawyers is legal and they also feel is totally justified. I wonder if they just took a deep breath and wondered if it's actually the right thing to do though.
