Paradise Perfect Boat Rescue

Hi! I'm HERO! You're me and I'm YOU and we, that is YOU, have a Pink Sampan that is nine flavours of AWESOME.

The sea: truly, a mighty and treacherous lover.

PPBR is a 3D boat rescuing game for PC. Drive your awesome pink sampan from island to island, picking up people and dropping them off (after some complaining on their part) at their destination.

Dodge mines, the coastguard, and more in your quest to be the ultimate rescue hero (HERO, it turns out, is actually your name. In caps. Your parents were new to the internet...)

Origins

This March (2010), in a bout of insomnia, I embarked on an experiment.

I wanted to take some time out of my large-scale project (The Real Texas) and make a few smaller games from start to finish. PPBR was the final result of this (I completed four other games, three very small) and I'm really very happy with it. It's cute, snappy, and F-U-N!

Intel AppUp

Paradise Perfect Boat Rescue is coming soon (hopefully) to the Intel AppUp App Store.

It hasn't yet been approved so you won't be able to play it until then. So far the App Store is a little bit rough. But having a place I can sell my game, and also maybe expose myself (...erm) to a wider audience is really cool. And unlike the iPhone/iPad store, I already have everything I need to make AppUp games.

For now I have it at $2.99 which hopefully isn't something to balk at. I feel a bit weird asking for money for games; all I can say is I put a lot of LOVE into PPBR. It might not have taken me too long in terms of number of days but they were all (pretty much) 4am-ers.

So what do you think about this? If you've got an opinion, one way or the other, why not leave me a comment below? BOATS HAY!

Crap, fixing. TKS!

Fixed. In reading this, I think I will remove the word "boon". Totally a bad word.

um, Duck Manor Productions hasn't tried it out yet, but gives the game it's blessing!!

Big thanks to Duck Manor for enouragement with this!
