Cave of the Nereid

Holding your nose, you jump into the reflecting pool.

You sink down, down down into the depths of it, and eventually you drown.

You sleep a fitful sleep, filled with abstract images of seaweed, rays of light glimmering from the surface of an unknown body of water, and the murky underwater noise of children playing at a public swimming pool.

When you finally awake, you find yourself naked, refreshed, staggering up before a wondrous, more-than-naked faery. An aeolean harp plucks dreamily, reverberating off the cave walls.

The Nereid

Standing in the buff, above her magically underlit gazing pool, she is truly beautiful, but your impure thoughts prevent you from gazing upon her form directly. Only a true virgin, of both body and of mind may see the naked form of the lovely Nereid.

Well, only such a one as that, or one who happens to be the photographer for the Nereids Nuede annual fund-raising calendar who gets a peek every September (well... it's his job!) The calendar is $18.00 but actually doesn't show anything, as dreamy lens flares and blurs tastefully cover things up before it goes to print.

When she finally speaks, her voice is suitably satin:

"Greetings and awake, wanderer. I have saved thee, and will grant thy one true wish, whatever it may be. But no, thou may not see me nude. Everyone asks that."

You are SO LUCKY. MAN! Totally worth drowning for...

Wish

You close your eyes, knowing you'll never get another chance like this, and wish!
